We in Auburn/AL (I85 Exit 50) are looking for a Production Scheduler/Planner as next addition to our successfully growing team.

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Acts as connecting link between sales, manufacturing, and logistics, determining resource constraints, and developing plans to achieve customers' needs
  • Reviews computerized inventory of raw materials against present and anticipated sales orders. Activates reorder points where judgment determines an anticipated shortfall.
  • Create production orders in the manufacturing plant, considering many factors such as equipment load and available capacity and material availability.
  • Establish and monitor appropriate levels of in-house inventory of certain raw materials and products by using the computerized inventory control system, cycle counts as needed, etc. Focus on reducing inventories when possible.
  • Coordinate suppliers and maintain good communication.
  • Distribute monthly inventory level reports.
  • Prepare weekly Production plans for assigned machines.
  • Monitor and order assigned supplies and raw material.
  • Coordinate suppliers and maintain good communication
  • Monitor lead times on assigned machines and orders.
  • Support inventory checks
  • Support efficient warehousing
  • Perform and assist in any other related projects and duties as assigned.
  • Maintain SAP system including creating master data for new customers, suppliers, parts and process steps, entering customer orders, create material schedule agreement, creating purchase orders, posting goods, receiving, posting production, create delivery notes, create invoice documents, safety stock, inventory control and adjustments

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of two (2) year experience in a business or manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Windows/Word/Excel and Company Software
  • ERP Experience: SAP
  • Excellent professional, written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a team-based environment
  • High level of initiative and independence in managing responsibilities
  • Detail oriented
  • Fluent verbal and written English
