Job Description

This is a great opportunity for a detail oriented person with exceptional Excel skills to become a Vendor Managed Inventory Coordinator within our Customer Service Team with Midwest Air Technologies a division of MAT. This position will monitor inventory for a large customer by reviewing demand and making recommendations to achieve client directed inventory levels. The coordinator collaborates with supply chain, dept. Management and customer accounts to optimize customer satisfaction.

 

Principle Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the management and monitoring of finished goods inventory at customer warehouse
  • Reviews and plans inventory replenishment of assigned distribution centers to achieve client directed inventory levels and maintain adequate supply to support demand
  • Meeting or exceeding customer established days of supply and service goals
    • Upload ASN’s for upcoming loads
    • Route new loads for pickup
    • Check status of open and in-transit loads
    • Invoice customer for weekly shipment
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain and plant production managers to ensure adequate inventory is available for assigned customers at required times.
  • Handle all incoming and follow-up calls and conduct additional research when needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

Competencies:

  • Proficient in Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus
  • Excellent Computer skills
  • Possess strong data entry skills, including both speed and accuracy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Experience in Customer service, VMI or accounting.
  • Superior organizational skills, high level attention to detail is critical
  • Ability to work effectively and independently while managing concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Ability to take a project from A-Z with little direction
