Job Description

The SAP Applications Developer with Business Analysts to design and develop software solutions to meet business requirements at a high level of complexity.  Solutions will include output requirements, user exits, reports, dialog transactions and other functions in SAP as well as various other applications as required. 

 

Principle Responsibilities

  • Maintain the dictionary structure in SAP as needed
  • Implement appropriate security measure in all custom code
  • Document development work according to departmental standards/requirements
  • Debug system issues to resolve problems
  • Provide guidance and direction to other developers
  • Participate in design discussions with functional resources as needed

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, programming or other IT related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • SAP ABAP certification desired
  • ABAP development in procedural and object oriented styles
  • SAP output creation/maintenance using SAPScript, SmartForms and Adobe Forms
  • HTML development
  • Java scripting
  • OS level scripting in Windows architecture
  • Knowledge and understanding of SAP Idocs
  • Self-motivated to bring project assignments to completion.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a sometimes pressured team environment interacting well with others.
  • Capable of collaborating with team members to provide technical information on solution development.
  • Ability to work with minimal day to day supervision.
  • Ability to develop group consensus and make decisions.
  • Understanding of computer technology, methodology, and full life-cycle development.
  • Ability to analyze and translate technical specification into program solutions.
  • Good Desktop (MS Office) skills.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Significant (several years) experience ABAP development including writing and maintaining custom programs, forms and dialog transactions.
  • Some experience with EDI desired
  • Experience with web design including HTML and Java scripting
