Job Description

Within our MATI Division which manufacturers and distributes fencing, construction and lawn & garden products to retailers across the Untied States.

The Director of Marketing plans, organizes, controls, and implements the brand and product marketing strategies for the entire division. Focus is the management of current brands and product categories as well as launching products from conceptual stages through the product life cycles including optimizing profit and exceeding marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives.

 

Principle Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the VP of Marketing and General Manager in providing Marketing leadership and vision for all product categories within the division with a focus on strategic fit, positioning, leveraging, product transition and competitive SWOT analysis.
  • Manage product management in new product launch schedules for on time delivery.
  • Conduct market research on key categories and analyze customer care reviews for VOC and improved product positioning. 
  • Supervise packaging artwork and messaging through Marketing Services.
  • Create and manage brand guidelines for the division.
  • Create and manage merchandisers and displays for low cost, modular in design and to enhance retail messaging and drive sales.
  • Manage e-Commerce conditions involving online content and website messaging and metrics (B2B and B2C content, metrics and messaging) for customer and internal websites.
  • Evaluate and manage product management for product video content
  • Provide trade show leadership and support Sales in customer strategy.
  • Responsible for managing literature creation and support.
  • Support Sales with market presentations and promotional communication plans.
  • Partner with Sourcing to bring innovation, drive cost-down activities, and support factory transitions.
  • Work closely with Sales and Supply Chain regarding import vendor sourcing and quality related to customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Delivers on commitments, strong follow-up skills and shows consistency between words and actions.
  • Proven ability to negotiate, making sound decisions in a timely and confident manner.
  • Highly organized, results driven and an ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to travel domestic 10% and international (1-3 times per year).

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing
  • MBA a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience with well-regarded companies, preferably firms operating within the hardware, home center, and lawn & garden categories
  • 5+ years leadership experience
