The Shipping Office Clerk performs a variety of office related duties to support the shipping department to ensure on-time shipments and order processing.  Creates delivery notices, shipping documents and arranges shipping of LTL and small package orders utilizing local freight carriers.  Post orders and shipping information daily using computer systems.  Works with key customer web base portal systems for data entry and recovery to ensure supplier requirement compliance.

Job Duties:

• Data entry of delivery notices in support of customer orders.
• Prepare shipping documents including packing list, commercial invoices and shipping labels for domestic and international shipments.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing and data entry.
• Problem solves for customers and suppliers about shipping routes delayed items, and rush orders
• Troubleshoots shipping issues and customer issues that pop up regularly.
• Confirm physical shipment of goods and facilitate tracking of packages.
• Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents by strict adherence to standard operating procedures.
•  Self-supervised/Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Requires a minimum of 2+ years in a shipping/warehousing office environment.
• Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP systems.
• Strong attention to details
• Excellent communication skills up/down the organization.  Strong planning, organizational and follow-up skills.
• Experience with various shipping methods a plus.
