Job Description

The main responsibility for the manager of the Warranty Team is to oversee the department, coach, nurture and help the team on efficiently fulfilling the department deliverables. Data analysis and report creation is essential to this role.                                           

  • Coordinate efforts and work with multifunctional teams (Engineering, Mfg., Testing and Root Cause Analysis and Customer Reporting) to meet customer expectations.

  • Project Timing: create, maintain and track the project timing for warranty deliverables and work with Engineering and Manufacturing Teams to ensure timely response to the customer.

  • Open Issues: create, track and maintain open issues list and collaborate with Team members on efforts to close open issues. Raise the flag for all open issues that don’t have a planned solution. Schedule and lead warranty meetings with the customer.

  • Collaborate with other Gabriel Teams contributing to efforts to collect information needed for each issue that arises during root cause investigation.

  • Lessons Learned:  Support Gabriel Engineering & PM Teams on issues learned that were resolved during the root cause and analysis of warranty return parts.

  • Run all warranty reports needed for data analysis. (Fan Charts, Trend Chart, Pulled from RAW Data)

  • Review warranty data for upward trends in data.

  • Create standardized monthly reports for each program team.

  • Maintain Warranty related process flows and procedures.

  • Identify root cause and corrective actions for warranty concerns. Follow until closure. 

  • Lead customer response meetings regarding warranty related items and findings (8D reports, containment and corrective actions)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; will consider non-degreed candidates with warranty experience

  • Project and systems experience in automotive industry preferred.

  • Previous Warranty experience is a must.

  • Causal Analysis problem solving skills requires.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Suite (Word, Powerpoint and Excel) is essential.

  • Ability to analyze information to produce a variety of mandated reports is essential.

  • Must be able to prepare and write reports in a logical and professional manner.
