Job Description

The ideal candidate will be a technical leader with proficient management skills. The Manager of Global Infrastructure (MGI) will be responsible for the Corporate Data Center, Corporate Disaster Recovery, WAN, LANs, Telephony, Videoconferencing, Corporate data protection, and the definition of standards for all computing equipment. The MGI will work in a team environment to recommend and deliver solutions which will enable efficient business processes. The MGI is responsible for leading the network engineers and server engineers to deliver cost effective and efficient solutions to the business. The MGI must possess strong communication skills to resolve complex technical issues and the ability to present solutions to the executive management team.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Managing and providing technical guidance to a global team of IT professionals supporting the MAT Holdings business environment.
  • Manage a 130 virtual computer environment with over 100 terabytes of data
  • Manage a global communications network comprised of hosted and premise based voice and data solutions including MPLS, point to point, VPN and wireless technologies
  • Manage a global VPN network supporting various firewall technologies for client and facilities services
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 25% international and domestic
  • Must have the ability to be on call during non-business hours

 

Qualifications

Competencies

  • Must be certified in MCSA or MCSE
  • Must have a certificate in VCA or VCP VMWare
  • Must have Project Management experience.
  • Must have experience in SAN with EMC or IBM, HP, QNAP, including direct attached storage.
  • Must have experience with Cisco UCS Blade and Server
  • Must have experience with Bluecoat packet shapers
  • Must have experience with Corporate Data Centers, Corporate data protection
  • and Corporate Disaster Recovery
  • Must have experience with WAN, LANs, wireless using cisco controllers, understanding of firewall and switching technologies
  • Must have experience with Telephony
  • Must have experience with Videoconferencing
  • Must have experience with DNS, DHCP with failover
  • Must have experience with Active directory understanding in multi-forest, multi-trust
  • Must have experience with PKI with certificate authority internal and external
  • Must have experience with Virtualization using both VMWare and Hyper-V
  • Must have experience with Understanding of backup strategies and software’s such as Avamar, Veeam, Backup Exec
  • Must have experience with Vendor relationship Management
  • Must have ERP experience, SAP preferred
  • Experience with Linux is a plus
  • Experience with SQL experience is a plus
  • Experience with Video conferencing is a plus

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in an IT
