Job Description

Responsible for general warehouse duties:  

Maintain forklift safety checklist

Clear dock for unloading of inbound containers

Supply wrap stations with materials needing wrapped

Organize outbound shipments by customer PO

Comply with all company OHSA regulated safety codes

Pick and Check Loads VIA RF Gun

Building of pallets concept, keeping pallet squared

Labeling of PO’s and Pallets

Loading of Box Trucks when needed

Performs other duties as assigned.

Loads and unloads material in a safe fashion, verifies that incoming and outgoing material is free from damage.

Transfers all associated paperwork to incoming goods clerk and shipping department.

Marks all incoming product with job numbers and dispositions, transfers the material to the designated area.

Loads customer orders on van trailers, trailers or oversea containers.

Ensures that materials get loaded free of damage and drivers secure the load without damaging product.

Verifies that job numbers written on product correspond with supplied paperwork and ensures product gets loaded according to the delivery note provided by the shipping department.

Empties all waste and recycling bins and schedules container pickups as necessary.

Helps with yearly and quarterly inventory.

Run errands as instructed by a supervisor.

Reports to floor supervisor and/or the shift leader as well as the logistic department.

Keeps work areas clean and organized.

Responsible for the tidiness of the shipping and receiving yard.

Bands loose material for save storage.

Performs a daily safety and maintenance check on assigned equipment and documents those checks on the appropriate form.

Follow all company rules and policies.

Follow all safety rules and quality standards.

Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.

Work Environment

Work in warehouse distribution center.

Work in cold temperatures for extended periods of time.

  •  Work in hot temperatures for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Skills Required:

  • Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Relevant warehouse experience within the last 2 years
  • Certified to operate forklift current or previous company
  • Understand basic throughput of a logistics operation
  • Must have experience operating a RF Scanner
  • Must have good organizational skills
  • Professional attitude and the ability to represent the company with integrity
  •  Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  •  Work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data
  • Strong verbal and written skills
