Established in 1907, Gabriel North America designs, manufactures and distributes suspension products for the automotive aftermarket and other specialty vehicles. The company is the current market leader in suspension systems products. Gabriel NA currently employs more than 1,400 salaried and hourly employees at several locations in the US and Mexico. The company has two manufacturing facilities; one domestic US and one in Mexico. Revenues for the company are approximately $210MM.

Job Description

Principle Responsibilities

  •  Assist in inventory management of the company.
  •  Analyze the life cycle of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods from introduction of new parts through obsolescence in order to identify under and over stock conditions and promote sound inventory management.
  •  Investigate causes of excess & obsolete inventory by part number and develop a unique action plan for each.
  •  Proactively communicate identified issues and risks to co-workers from various departments (e.g. operations, sales, product marketing, program management, purchasing, materials) and assist in collaborative development of actions to resolve these concerns; escalate as needed.
  • Implement plan to identify correct safety stock levels and maintain those levels going forward
  •  During monthly Excess & Obsolete (E&O) Inventory reviews, present current metrics and action plans to company executives.
  •  Assist in Safety Stock calculations and recommend additions or deletions.
  •  Work in unison with the Materials Manager and Demand Planning Manager to achieve department goals and objectives.

Education/Experience

  •  BS/BA degree in supply chain, mathematics or finance required
  • Two to four years of proven experience as a Supply Chain analyst or related role (data mining, analysis and reporting)
  • Automotive experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems (SAP highly desirable)
  •  Project Management experience a plus
