Job Description

SUMMARY: Acts as shift supervisor and coordinates activities of workers engaged in both inbound and outbound shipping of product, including verifying and keeping records on outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment and managing product storage within the facility. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

• Reviews orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and equipment required to meet shipping schedules.

• Oversees outgoing shipping activities to ensure other fulfillment accuracy, completeness, and condition of loads. 

• Responsible for leading his/her shift in the efficient processing of freight including receiving, storage order picking, and loading for all customers. 

• Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair. 

• Responsible for the safety and proper use of material handling equipments used by shift personnel.

• Issues written and oral instructions – bilingual Spanish speaking preferred. 

• Responsible for the adherence and execution of standardized procedures 

• Responsible for the correction and accuracy of all work performed under his/her supervision

• Understands and applies Company policies and procedures

• Maintain good housekeeping in area and adhere to established Company Safety policies at all times. 

• Bilingual – English & Spanish speaking preferred

• SAP and RF Experience 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES: 

Supervises shipping personnel. Serves as an example to subordinates and enforces all applicable safety rules.

 

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must have 1 year previous supervisory experience

• High School diploma or equivalent 

• Must be able to obtain forklift license though the Company
