Job Description

OFFERING RELOCATION - THIS ROLE IS LOCATED IN SPRINGFIELD, MN

 

This position will translate marketing-defined needs into cost-effective, manufactured products; analyze and solve vendor, field and manufacturing problems; and provide technical support to other company functions upon request.

 

Principle Responsibilities

  • Clarify marketing needs and identify key design parameters
  • Develop basic technical concepts
  • Guide / supervise designers & project engineers
  • Project management - ID resources, schedule task, adhere to schedules
  • Work with vendors to develop concepts and evaluate their skills
  • Specify and evaluate lab tests
  • Carry project through pilot runs and manufacturing sign-off
  • Fix problems in existing products
  • Work with Marketing, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Product Services & Test lab
  • Identify product problems and propose projects for solutions
  • Perform technical analyzes where appropriate
  • Check drawings
  • Identify, locate and acquire necessary resources
  • Estimate and admass project budgets
  • Be required to travel both domestic and international as needed

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in BSME preferred
  • Possess excellent skills and knowledge of Microsoft Windows with an emphasis in Excel.
  • Analytical, self-motivated, able to work alone or within a team in a fast pace environment. Requires ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • SAP experience is a definite plus.
  • 5 + years’ experience in electro-mechanical systems and components.
    2 years of management experience or educational equivalent
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Good communication - both verbal & written
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Ability to work well with others and delegate & prioritize tasks
