Job Description

Lytics is hiring Pre-Sales Engineers to join our team. We’re seeking someone who empathizes with our customer’s needs and understands why our products help our customers become more efficient, successful and effective in their Marketing efforts. In this role, you will be the technical voice in our sales process helping customers understand the value of Lytics products. You’ll partner with the customer to solve their problems, demonstrating the value of Lytics products with the Sales team. You will provide product feedback based on your interaction with customers to Engineering and Product. You will ensure the customer is successful as they interact with Lytics products and services. You will conduct webinars and speak at industry events, demonstrating Lytics products and help provide the technical expertise for Proof of Concepts and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Win the trust of customers by demonstrating technical and business acumen and empathizing with their business challenges.

  • Own the technical sale by guiding prospects through the technical decision making process.

  • Master how to sell Lytics: from high-level introductory pitches through technical deep dives – and know how to gracefully maneuver back-and-forth.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the Lytics’ customer lifecycle journey, leveraging resources in Sales, Account Management, Technical Support & Services to ensure customer success.

  • Assist Sales Representatives with RFP responses.

  • Provide product demonstrations and customize demo environment to match customer’s use cases in order to maximize our success rate.

  • Actively participate in the business aspects of territory management, e.g., pipeline development, forecasts, quarterly business reviews, etc.

  • Requires travel (via ground and/or air transportation), including but not limited to, operating a vehicle and/or riding as a passenger in a vehicle, airplane, train or other form of transportation

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 2-5 Years experience in a Sales Engineering role, or direct experience with using Lytics’ products.

  • Excellent technical communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to and engage our rapidly growing customer base.

  • JavaScript knowledge and experience.

  • Excellent problem-solving orientation and ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to technical and business problems.

  • Strong industry knowledge - performance management, scaled solutions, and methodologies.

  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% nationally & internationally, including but not limited to, operating a vehicle and/or riding as a passenger in a vehicle, airplane, train or other form of transportation.

  • Requires the ability to perform physical activities, including but not limited to, walking, standing, lifting items up to 35 lbs. and/or using, handling and controlling tools.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • A criminal background check may be required for this position.

Preferred but not required:

  • BA or BS degree in computer science or a related field.

  • Past experience with implementing Martech technology such as email service providers, website personalization, or online ad serving

  • Experience working with internal Sales/Marketing, Engineering, and Client Services teams.

  • Proficiency in working(query) with and speaking about popular database technologies.

  • Experience working with APIs via command line or other similar resource.

  • Working knowledge of HTML / CSS.
