Fixed-Term Contract (6 months)

Seeking two Collection Clerks to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding debts from students and other stakeholders, ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:

• Contact debtors to collect outstanding payments.
• Negotiate payment plans and terms with debtors.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and payments.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues.
• Collaborate with other departments to reconcile accounts and ensure accurate billing.
• Utilize debt collection software or systems to track and manage collections.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Matric Certificate or equivalent; a post-secondary qualification in finance or a related field is an advantage.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in debt collection or customer service, preferably within an educational or financial services environment.
• Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Attributes: High level of integrity, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Additional: Familiarity with debt collection software or systems is a plus.
