Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Finance team on a part-time basis. This role is genuinely flexible. It can be worked across 3 or 4 days per week, depending on what works best for you and the business.
This could be a great fit if you’re returning to work, juggling school hours, or simply prefer fewer days without compromising on interesting, meaningful work.
Reporting to our Global Payroll Manager you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of payroll, supporting employees across the business and working closely with Finance and P&C.
What you'll be doing:
- End-to-end processing of semi-monthly and monthly payrolls across multiple countries
- Maintaining accurate payroll data including starters, leavers and employee changes
- Managing payroll queries with a calm, helpful and professional approach
- Processing ad hoc payments including overtime, bonuses and allowances
- Handling termination payments in line with PAYG and superannuation requirements
- Submitting monthly payroll data via Single Touch Payroll to the ATO
- Supporting compliance activities including awards, NES, minimum wages, SGC, workers compensation and WGEA reporting
- Preparing payroll reports and assisting with reconciliations
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes
- Supporting end-of-month activities including superannuation and journal entries
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a payroll role
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
- Confidence working with payroll systems and Excel
- Clear communication skills and the ability to manage deadlines independently
