Legal Services and Compliance Manager (m/f/o)

Job Profile:

The Legal Services and Compliance Manager is in charge to ensure that legal support services are consistently provided across the LuxSpace organization and to ensure that OHB LuxSpace’s processes, operations, policies, and practices in the overall business and operations cycle comply with the national and international regulations and standards, and as well with respective OHB Group directives, including all aspects of export control. The position closely interfaces with cross-departmental stakeholders, with the OHB Group legal department at the headquarters in Bremen and with external legal consultants needed for specific topics. The position also requires close collaboration with the company’s quality and product assurance team.

The incumbent is also expected to oversee export compliance requirements as well and to take over the role of an export control officer as per business needs.

The Legal Services and Compliance Manager will act as the focal point of contact for legal documentation preparation, review and submission, as well as for compliance topics with internal and external stakeholders and authorities.

The ideal candidate will be professional, highly analytical, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. To prosper in this role, you should be fluent in risk management and our industry’s principles.

 

Typical Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and/or supervision of legal documentation, including, but not limited to, commercial contracts, partnership agreements, subcontracting agreements, memoranda of understanding, non-disclosure agreements
  • Implement and manage an effective legal compliance program, including deployment and/or adaptation of Compliance policies and procedures
  • Deployment and implementation of Compliance permanent control framework, including detection of any risk of non-compliance with the professional obligations applicable to the organization and follow-up of concrete action plans
  • Compliance with the Professional Ethics, Market Integrity, Clients Interest’s protection and other compliance related rules
  • Export control management, act as export control officer
  • Take appropriate and efficient measures to minimize the consequences of non-compliance by LuxSpace with its professional obligations
  • Provide support and guidance to the management and departments in a proactive manner
  • Regularly report on status and progress of legal services deployment, as well as compliance and export control
  • Other tasks and duties assigned by manager(s)
  • Temporarily or permanently performing other reasonable and equivalent duties

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Law degree or a degree in business law, business administration, economics, or related fields
  • 3+ Years of work experience in a similar position, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Excellent sense of responsibility and confidentiality
  • Good communication capabilities, analytical sense, priority setting
  • Methodical work-approach, results-oriented
  • Self-motivated; taking responsibility and being proactive
  • Hands-on mentality and experience
  • Positive spirit to work and interface with a multinational team
  • Willingness to work flexible in line with project needs and schedules
  • Willingness to travel for business, if needed
  • Languages: Excellent English language skills (spoken and written), German and/or French knowledge is considered as an asset
  • In line with applicable (immigration) legislation, candidates must have an EU / NATO membership country citizenship and possess all applicable work and residence permissions for Luxembourg. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from the applicants as part of the recruitment process.
