LuxSpace focuses on:
- Complete microsatellite systems in the 20-200 Kg class
- Space systems and subsystems design, specification, procurement, manufacturing, integration, and testing. This includes structure, TT&C subsystems, electronics, Radio Frequency, power supply, AOCS, simulators, on- board software, GSEs and all major elements of satellites
- Satellite services and applications with a focus on Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Earth Observation (EO)
Today, LuxSpace employs a team of around 50 highly skilled and motivated professionals from more than 15 (mainly EU) countries and generates around 10-15 M€ revenues.

Job Description
This position provides the ideal candidate with the opportunity to take on the end-responsibility as Head of Finance of an independent company within a growing successful international group in the space business.
Job Profile:
Together with the Management Team, the Head of Finance steers the company from a financial perspective and takes ownership of all company and project financial matters.
The Head of Finance reports to the LuxSpace Managing Director / CEO and works in close cooperation with the finance department of the holding company OHB SE.
Task to be performed:
- Lead the Controlling and Accounting team incl. Contract Management function
- Prepare - supported by the local accountant – and provide accurate and timely financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual) in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP
- Advise, support, and challenge the operational executives in all financial matters
- Be responsible for preparation and implementation of the company’s budgets and strategic planning
- Be involved in the commercial and controlling part of bids and running projects, ensure the interface between projects and commercial team works efficiently
- Ensure continuous development of the existing tools (e.g. ERP, BI, project software) and processes, in particular with respect to accurate project steering and reporting
- Closely monitor and steer the cash flow of the company
- Implement cost reduction and other measures to improve efficiency, identify financial risks and opportunities for the company
- Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations
Qualifications
Candidate Profile:
Skills and background:
- Successfully completed Bachelor or Master's degree in a relevant discipline with an emphasis on accounting/controlling/finance or qualification as (international) certified accountant
- 5+ years proven experience in a business controller or a financial manager position ideally within a project-driven but as a minimum industrial environment
- Strong financial and accounting (IFRS) background, Lux GAAP knowledge would be a plus but not a requirement
- Understanding of project accounting/controlling contexts and the implications on balance sheet and P&L in accordance with IFRS principles
- Solid analytical and decision-making skills, knowledge of planning & reporting processes
- Ability to work under pressure, keep deadlines and plan personal workload effectively
- Experience in business with institutional clients (e.g. ESA) would be an asset

Languages:
- Fluent in English; German and French would be an asset but not a requirement
Permits:
- In line with applicable (immigration) legislation, all candidates must be eligible to live and work in Luxembourg / be an EU / EEA citizen, and possess all applicable work and residence permissions for Luxembourg.
- Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from the applicants as part of the recruitment process.
- In view of the nature of projects concerned and job profile, candidates may have to undergo stringent reference and identity checks.
- Readiness and eligibility for EU / NATO security clearance procedures may be required from candidates.
