• Complete microsatellite systems in the 20-200 Kg class
• Space systems and subsystems design, specification, procurement, manufacturing, integration, and testing. This includes structure, TT&C subsystems, electronics, Radio Frequency, power supply, AOCS, simulators, on- board software, GSEs and all major elements of satellites
• Satellite services and applications with a focus on Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Earth Observation (EO)

Project Manager - Space Industry Luxembourg (m/f/o)

While aiming at our vision and to expand our program activities, LuxSpace is recruiting an inspired, experienced (10y+) and committed Project Manager for immediate employment.

Job Profile:

An inspired, experienced, and committed Project Manager is required to complement the team.

The Project Manager will be delegated wide authority over its projects, in exchange for accountability on the accomplishments of project objectives in terms of customer satisfaction and on-time, on-budget and on-specs deliveries.

Tasks to be performed:

• Executing the contract on-time, on-budget and on-specs as signed off and handed over by the Proposal Manager
• Responsibility of the overall project execution methodology, ensuring its effectiveness and efficiency, while carefully exploring novel ways of accomplishing project goals
• Coordinator of contribution of the engineering team, PA/QA, and procurement activities
• Responsible for budget, planning, and financial project result
• Representation in front of the Customer, acting as the main interface of the company for the project

Required Skills, Experience and Candidate Profile:

• University degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma/PhD) or equivalent in Engineering, preferably in Space, Avionics, RF or Computer Science
• 10y+ of work experience as Project Manager, gained in a professional position in the Space industry
• 5y+ of experience in satellites design, development, integration and testing, preferably in small satellites between 100 and 500 kg
• Having worked in satellite development projects proceeding in parallel will be considered an asset
• Working knowledge of ESA ECSS standards
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Project, DOORS
• Negotiation and networking capabilities, feeling comfortable when dealing with customers and suppliers
• Organizational and leadership skills, combined with ability to work and interface with a multinational team
• Team player with a positive hands-on attitude and flexibility in an environment of tight deadlines, unexpected changes, and frequent interruptions
• Good communication capabilities; sharing the idea that “having fun with the team makes challenges easier to overcome”
• Methodical work-approach, results-oriented, analytical sense, priority setting ability for her-/himself and the project
• Self-motivated; taking responsibility and being proactive
• Willingness to work flexible in line with project needs and schedules
• Willingness to travel
• Languages: Fluent English language skills (spoken and written), German and/or French knowledge considered an asset
• EU citizenship or valid Luxembourg work permission
