Luna Lux is a premier lighting design, AV design, media production, and equipment rental and procurement company founded in 2012. We provide lighting and AV design services for museum exhibitions, theme parks, live events, activation, and experiential industries. We also offer technical labor and equipment rentals in North America with a specific focus on live events.
Our design studio and central warehouse are located in Dallas, TX. We have representation in Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., allowing us to serve North America from coast to coast.
In addition to our Lighting and AV services, we also offer Media Production. That service includes concept design, content design, and media production.

Job Description
About the Role:
Luna Lux LLC is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Associate Designer, with a focus on either lighting or AV design, to join our Dublin-based team. This in-office role will work closely with our logistics, sales, and design teams both in Ireland and the United States. The successful candidate will support the creation of designs and specifications. Additionally, this role will assist in producing sales quotations and maintaining communication with both vendors and clients across Europe and the US.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide equipment research and communicate with manufacturers
Provide lighting and AV studies
Produce design documents (lighting/AV plans, details, elevations, control diagrams, schedules, and reports)
Coordinate with the US-based design team to ensure compliance with specification standards and methodology
Collaborate with the US logistics team to prepare specifications and sales quotations
Liaise with European clients to understand equipment requirements and project goals
Support the lead lighting or AV designer
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
Working knowledge of lighting and AV equipment used in theatre, film/television, and architectural entertainment (“architainment”)
Familiarity with lighting and AV design principles, including common installation and control methodology
Strong understanding of project scope, timelines, and budget constraints
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and ongoing education
Ability to stay up-to-date on current manufacturers, products, and industry standards
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace (G Suite)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and receptive to feedback
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Additional Information
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Ireland.
Garda vetting may be required for certain projects.
Travel of up to 15% may be required.
Salary: €40,000 – €60,000, depending on experience.
Access to company benefit schemes will be available.
This role reports directly to the US Director of Logistics.
