Job Description

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to automate builds, develop CI/CD pipelines, manage SW/FW release processes and support our on-premise and cloud infrastructure. We are a growing semi-conductor company looking for a highly energetic individual who is comfortable wearing multiple hats, continually learning, and­ has a get-it-done attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Develop build tools and infrastructure to support software and ASIC Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD).
  • Install, maintain, document and promote tools and services to assist in developer productivity and software quality.
  • Create roadmaps for advancing DevOps infrastructure and improving our software delivery capability.
  • Work with various teams to plan and define use of on-premise servers versus cloud services.
  • Manage tool evaluation and licensing.
  • Drive continuous improvement of software delivery through generating and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Build security into our DevOps pipelines and infrastructure (DevSecOps).
  • Cost optimize and manage cloud services (AWS or Azure) where needed.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Expertise in build automation and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket pipelines)
  • Expertise in scripting languages e.g. Python, Bash
  • Expertise of working in and administering Linux environments
  • Expertise in Source code version control (Git)

Preferred skills:

  • Experience in containerization e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) enablers e.g. Ansible
  • Experience in Database technologies (PostgreSQL, SQLServer)
  • Experience in Reporting and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud services
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • Familiarity with working in Agile environments (Scrum / Kanban)
  • Familiarity with Embedded Linux distributions e.g. Yocto
  • Familiarity in software development for internet industries e.g. Javascript, HTML
  • Familiarity with embedded software development e.g. C, C++

Additional Information

Base salary range is $90,000 to $115,000(CAD) + Performance based Quarterly Bonus + Equity depending on experience.
