Job Description
Lucid Dreams is looking for an experienced Unity Tech Artist to participate in an ambitious design team that's combining engaging gameplay with blockchain technology and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
As a Unity Technical Artist at Lucid Dreams, you'll work closely with Artists, Producers and Designers as part of an experienced team where both your technical skills and creative vision will help shape the creative content. You will help drive, refine and document tech art best practices, working with the other disciplines to ensure standards and processes are reviewed regularly to ensure efficiency and quality, across the studio.
Responsibilities:
- Support content production art teams in achieving top-quality results.
- Developing technical tools and solutions to solve performance issues while executing artistic and game vision.
- Identify and develop art-pipeline optimizations and tools for new and existing production workflow.
- Optimize memory and game performance by realizing artistic and gameplay intentions within project constraints.
- Create technical benchmarks to be used in production, implement optimizations and monitor the performance of the game.
- Implement technical art features with the help of the programming team.
- Cooperate and support other programmers and be part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve the game(s) performance.
- Offer technical support to the art team in day-by-day production issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Share with the other artists and programmers best-practices and new tools.
Qualifications
- Experience working as a Tech Artist in games.
- Experience working with Unity engine.
- Experience with 3D software, and Blender specifically.
- Intermediate oral and written communication skills in English.
- A resume and an online portfolio showcasing your work
- Solid understanding of the concepts of art content creation, asset pipelines and git revision control
- Good artistic and technical eye ensuring all visuals look and behave according to Art standards and specifications
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great communication with strong verbal and written skills
- Flexible and enthusiastic about learning
- Experience of working on published mobile and/or PC titles
