Join Louis Dreyfus Company’s North American Juice team and take an active role in building and executing commercial trading strategies. Based in Orlando, this position will manage juice trading activities, analyze global market fundamentals, support futures-hedging discussions, and develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers. It is an opportunity for an experienced juice sales professional to expand LDC’s market presence while contributing to a collaborative, global trading platform.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Executes juice trade strategy as part of the global juice product line.
• Participates in discussion around juice futures hedges for LDC’s global asset base.
• Participates in meetings that S&OP team in Brazil on origination and procurement strategy for juices.
• Ties regional juices balance sheet and stocks analysis to flat price and calendar spread modeling.
• Develops understanding of fundamental market dynamics, commercial players and applications of the product
• Contributes to global commercial groups, recapping relevant trade highlights and trade opportunities.
• Participates in regularly scheduled market calls and balance sheet discussions.
• Develops and maintains commercial relationships with customers, suppliers, peers, and others to expand information flow.
• Develop and foster supplier and customer retention by ensuring value delivery.
• Implement contract execution and credit management through rigorous process control.
• Expand market presence within the industry by participating in industry forums / congress / events.
• Implement contract execution and credit management, following LDC policies and aligned with guidelines of the Credit team.
• Understands global juices complex balance sheets and understands influence on supply and distribution
• Assists in business analysis for internal and external implementation.
• Participates and helps build and implement strategic planning discussions.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participates in preparation of KPIs, daily sales reports, and other internally produced reports that help build LDC commercial strategy and goals.
• Gathers news, statistics, and information related to individual commodity supply and demand from customers and trade sources (i.e., contributes to research function).
• Creates daily/weekly/monthly market reports and information database for internal stakeholders.
• Assists other team members when needed.
• Customer and supplier visits.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, agricultural economics, finance, business administration, or other business discipline.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with a postgraduate degree in economics, agricultural economics, finance, business administration, or other business discipline.

Experience

Basic Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of in an office work environment and sales.

• Proficiency /experience in MS Office applications, specifically Excel and Word, with the ability to learn company software.
• Minimum: 3 years of juice sales experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)

Basic Qualifications:

• Knowledge of market players for juices traded/sold by LDC, including their size, importance and relationship to other relevant players.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Quantitative skills, including basic knowledge of statistics.
• Ability to organize multiple responsibilities, prioritize workload and perform tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Computer, printers, copy machines, telephone, calculator, shredder.

Working Conditions

• Extensions of regular working hours are occasionally necessary to complete time-sensitive projects or to respond to emergencies.
• This is a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
