Job Description
We are looking for an International Vessel Execution Specialist to manage the execution of vessel and barge operations, while providing subject matter expertise, leadership, and coordination for the daily execution of allocated voyage and time-chartered vessels.
In this role, you will ensure the efficient execution of the fleet, maximizing the profitability of each vessel through close cooperation with commercial teams, local origination teams, terminals, counterparties, and other stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, execute, and monitor vessel operations for allocated voyage and time-chartered vessels, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Ensure the efficient execution of vessel and barge operations at EU terminals, according to cargo flow requirements.
- Draft and administer international trading contracts with various purchase and sales terms, destinations, and contract conditions.
- Follow up with buyers on all matters related to contract execution.
- Monitor and coordinate loading and unloading operations for each shipment nominated under the contract.
- Handle cargo insurance files and claims, where applicable.
- Control and monitor documentation flow for each shipment.
- Process daily payments, including updating counterparty bank details and issuing payment orders in the system.
- Review Letters of Credit (LCs), request amendments when necessary, and communicate with buyers and banks throughout the process.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant professional experience in vessel execution, chartering, logistics, trading operations, or a related field.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of international trade operations, preferably within the agricultural commodities sector. Knowledge of international contract standards and rules such as GAFTA, FOSFA, ANEC, RSAL, PORAM, and NAEGA is preferred. Solid knowledge of the chartering market is required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in International Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Languages: Ukrainian (native), English (C1-C2).
- Systems: Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications and web-based business systems.
