About LDC
LDC is a global trader of a wide range of commodities serving many industries, including food products (also for animal feed), textiles and fibers, and plant-based ingredients for cosmetics. At its location in the Port of Ghent, LDC specializes in the storage, blending, and distribution of fruit juice and juice concentrate through its Juice Terminal, serving customers in more than 70 countries.
What will you do?
As a Process Operator, you are responsible for the daily operations in the control room, loading areas, and related operational activities.
You monitor various control parameters of the tank and pumping installations across multiple screens in the control room and make adjustments where necessary.
From the control room, you also operate installations during loading and unloading activities, as well as food-safe cleaning procedures.
You complete loading and unloading reports and fill in checklists according to LDC and customer procedures, enabling our Logistics/Dispatch team to process customer documentation accurately.
During your workday, you will regularly leave the control room and work hands-on in the truck loading area. You connect and disconnect hoses and pipelines and, using fall protection equipment, climb onto trucks when required.
You take product samples from the pipeline system for analysis by LDC’s internal quality laboratory.
You ensure that the loading area remains clean, organized, and food-safe. This includes cleaning filters and fittings and keeping work areas tidy.
Qualifications
Profile
You are not someone who enjoys sitting still all day. You like taking initiative and staying active throughout your shift.
You have strong practical problem-solving skills and can work confidently with volumes and measurements.
You are able to follow procedures accurately and always keep food safety in mind.
You are willing to work in a three-shift system (06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00 / 22:00–06:00).
