Job Description
Louis Dreyfus Company is seeking a commercially driven professional to lead the growth and management of our sunflower oil business in North America. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining market insight, customer engagement, supply chain strategy, and commercial decision-making to drive business results.
In this role, you'll have ownership of a key product portfolio, working closely with customers, suppliers, logistics teams, and global colleagues to connect supply with demand and create value across the sunflower oil market. You'll play a visible role within our commercial organization, helping shape pricing strategies, identify growth opportunities, manage risk, and strengthen LDC's position as a trusted partner in the edible oils industry.
**This position sits in our Wilton, CT office**
What You'll Do
- Build and grow relationships with customers across North America while serving as the primary commercial point of contact for sunflower oil.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, expand market reach, and lead customer onboarding and product approval processes.
- Collaborate closely with LDC's European team to secure supply and ensure products meet customer needs.
- Monitor market trends, customer demand, competitive activity, and price movements to support commercial decision-making.
- Develop pricing strategies, manage margins, and contribute to business planning and budgeting discussions.
- Balance inventory, logistics, and supply requirements to ensure reliable service and efficient product movement.
- Partner with global trading and commercial teams to develop market insights and a broader understanding of vegetable oil markets.
- Support cross-selling opportunities throughout LDC's ingredient portfolio by connecting customers with additional products and solutions.
- Work alongside operations, logistics, finance, and customer service teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications
Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business discipline, economics, or statistics
- Valid Driver’s License
Experience
Basic qualifications:
- 3-5 years vegetable oils sales in North America
- Current vegetable oil customer relationships
- Experience with oils futures hedging and position management
Preferred qualifications:
- Sunflower oil sales experience with customer contacts in North America
- 1-2 years in a product sales management role with PNL ownership
- International trade experience with a strong foundation of Incoterms knowledge
- Familiarity with vessel, rail, bulk truck, isotoank and dry van shipments
- A fundamental understanding of liquid bulk logistics and tank storage i.e. surveying, quality/food safety and regulatory practices, inventory management principles, and religious certifications in the food ingredient space
- Familiarity with packaging food products and warehouse storage
- Marketing and sales presentation experience
