Job Description
The HR GBS Specialist – Talent Acquisition (Australia) is responsible for delivering end-to-end Talent Acquisition and Onboarding services for the Australia portfolio within the Asia Hire to Retire (H2R) Shared Business Services organization.
The role partners closely with Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners and Centers of Expertise to deliver an efficient, high-quality and customer-focused recruitment and onboarding experience. In addition to managing recruitment operations for Australia, the role supports regional business continuity through the established Buddy Model, contributes to process standardization and actively identifies opportunities to improve service delivery, candidate experience and operational efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition
Lead the end-to-end operational delivery of Talent Acquisition activities for the assigned Australia portfolio, ensuring recruitment activities are delivered accurately, efficiently and within agreed service levels, including:
- Job requisition creation and validation
- Job posting and advertisement management
- Candidate sourcing through approved channels
- Candidate screening and shortlisting
- Interview scheduling and coordination
- Hiring manager communication and support
- Candidate communication throughout the recruitment lifecycle
- Offer preparation and approval coordination
- Offer presentation and negotiation support
- Offer acceptance and pre-employment activities
- Background screening and pre-employment coordination
- Recruitment administration and documentation
- Recruitment reporting and case management
Onboarding:
Coordinate and execute onboarding activities, including:
- Pre-boarding coordination
- Employment documentation
- Employee record creation in Workday
- Onboarding checklist management
- Day 1 readiness
- New hire documentation
- Onboarding checklist management.
- Start date coordination.
- New hire communication.
- No-show and revised start date administration.
- Coordination with Payroll, HR, IT and other support functions.
- Monitoring onboarding completion through the first 90 days.
Operational excellence
Support the continuous improvement of Talent Acquisition services by:
- Identifying process improvement opportunities
- Supporting recruitment standardization initiatives
- Reducing manual activities
- Improving recruitment cycle times
- Supporting implementation of automation initiatives
- Sharing recruitment best practices across the Asia team
Process Documentation & Knowledge Management
Support Recruitment and Onboarding process framework by:
- Contributing to updates of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintaining work instructions and Knowledge Articles
- Identifying documentation improvements based on operational experience
- Supporting knowledge transfer and cross-training activities
- Ensuring local Australian process variations are accurately documented where approved
Governance & Compliance
Support operational governance through:
- Monitoring recruitment SLAs
- Tracking recruitment KPIs
- Supporting audit readiness
- Ensuring compliance with approved recruitment processes
- Escalating operational risks or non-standard recruitment cases as appropriate.
- Supporting workforce planning inputs through accurate recruitment data.
- Ensuring recruitment activities are objective, fair and aligned with LDC’s diversity and inclusion principles.
Buddy Responsibilities:
Primary Buddy:
H2R Specialist, Australia Employee Lifecycle & HR Services
Responsibilities include:
- Knowledge sharing.
- Mutual operational support.
- Supporting process changes.
Emergency support may be provided for Singapore & Malaysia Talent Acquisition with the purpose of operational excellence and knowledge build and expertise.
Decision Making:
Has authority to:
- Prioritize operational recruitment activities
- Resolve complex recruitment cases
- Recommend process improvements
- Escalate recruitment risks
- Recommend updates to Recruitment and Onboarding SOPs
- Support workload balancing across the recruitment team
- Recommend improvements to candidate and hiring manager experience
Experience:
- 3-5 years of Talent Acquisition, Recruitment Operations or HR Shared Services experience within a multinational organization.
- Experience managing recruitment activities across multiple roles or business functions.
- Experience coordinating onboarding activities in a structured HR environment.
- Experience partnering with hiring managers and HR Business Partners.
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems and Workday Recruiting or comparable HR platforms.
- Experience supporting recruitment in Australia or similar employment markets is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a multinational, matrix or Shared Services environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high recruitment volumes while maintaining quality and candidate experience.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology or a related field, equivalent experience will also be considered
- Professional recruitment certification or HR qualification considered an advantage

- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Additional Asian language is an advantage

Key Stakeholder Relationships
Builds and maintains effective working relationships with the Asia Service Delivery Lead, Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition CoE, HRIS, Payroll, IT, Local HR teams and H2R process owners to ensure efficient recruitment and onboarding delivery. Externally, collaborates with candidates, recruitment agencies, background screening providers, assessment partners and other recruitment-related vendors as required.
