Lead the SBS Commercial Service team in Kuala Lumpur supporting domestic & and international supply chain – which includes managing end to end commercial operational activities; which includes trade contracts management, commercial invoicing and claim settlement, inventory and account reconciliation.
As part of LDC transformation strategy, this role will also lead the transition and mobilisation of SBS commercial service line growth and transition strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Commodity Operation Management
- Manage end-to-end commodity operational activities supporting the business platforms and value streams
- Understands commodity market dynamics and business implications, anticipate risks and identifies opportunities for value creation
- Drive process standardization and best practices
Continuous Improvement & Transformation
- Lead process transformation and technology adoption initiatives, which includes supporting ERP, platform, and front office system enhancement projects
- Drive team through organizational and operational change
- Lead and develop commodity operations team. 1 direct report: operations lead
- Establish performance objectives and development plans
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support talent development and succession planning initiatives
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Global Procurement, Category Managers, Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, and
- Operations teams
- Facilitate cross-functional reviews and governance meetings
- Influences decision-making across multiple levels of the organization
- Works effectively across global and cross-functional teams
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8-12 years of procurement, commodity management, sourcing, supply chain, or procurement operations experience
- Minimum 3-5 years in a people leadership role – leading leaders
- Experience working in commercial and centre of excellence / GBS
- Experience supporting regional or global procurement/supply chain operations.
- Experience with transformation and digitalization projects
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline.
