Job Description

  • Support the development of palm oil production and supply-demand forecasts across key producing regions.
  • Conduct crop surveys, plantation visits, and field assessments to gather first-hand production intelligence.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret agronomic, production, trade, weather, and market data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Monitor industry developments, government policies, and market dynamics impacting the palm oil sector.
  • Maintain and improve databases covering production, acreage, yields, processing capacities, trade flows, and other key industry indicators.
  • Prepare research reports, presentations, and analytical insights to support commercial and trading decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, including plantation companies, associations, and government agencies.
  • Contribute to supply-demand studies, sustainability initiatives, market intelligence projects, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Support the research team in maintaining short-term and long-term production outlooks and shipment analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Plantation Management, Agricultural Economics, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in agronomy, plantation operations, agricultural research, commodity analysis or related areas. 
  • Familiarity with plantation production data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge of the palm oil industry, plantation operations, or supply-demand analysis would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large datasets.
