Job Description
As an Industry Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence and product quality across port and inland operations.
You will act as a bridge between operational and commercial teams, making critical decisions on quality and quantity while driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
Operational & Quality Management
- Ensure weight and quality control of goods received, stored, and shipped
- Supervise receiving, weighing, dispatch, and storage processes
- Oversee silo and warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Monitor and optimize performance of equipment and operational processes
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key link between operations and commercial teams
- Coordinate quality control activities during inland shipments
- Collaborate with survey companies and external partners
Quality Control & Decision Making
- Evaluate shipments and make decisions on acceptance or rejection based on quality/quantity deviations
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and contractual standards
- Support implementation of quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Inland Inspections & Data Analysis
- Conduct preliminary assessments of partners and operations
- Analyze inspection data between loading and destination points
- Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements
- Evaluate cost and quality of survey services
Qualifications
What you bring
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operations, quality control, or warehouse/logistics environment
- Strong understanding of operational processes and quality standards
- Good Excel skills and ability to adapt to new IT systems
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Education & Languages
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Quality Management, or related field
- Romanian – native
- English – at least upper-intermediate
