Job Title:  Manager, Accounting Operations               

FLSA Status:  Exempt

Department: Accounting

Reports to: Corporate Controller

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

The Manager, Accounting Operations leads the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor payments and customer collections, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvement. This role partners cross‑functionally to support cash flow, compliance, and operational efficiency, and is responsible for the management of the global corporate credit card program, including processing and compliance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Operational Excellence

  • Lead Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring timely, accurate processing and reporting
  • Ensure disciplined execution of vendor payments, customer billing, and cash application to support cash flow objectives
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable aging, proactively addressing risks, exceptions, and delinquent balances
  • Establish and maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable procedures, and a strong internal control environment
  • Lead Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable month‑end close activities, including reconciliations and accruals
  • Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and control
  • Manage the global corporate credit card program

Leadership and Talent Development

  • Develop team with the appropriate mixture of experience, capabilities, and skills to ensure effective succession planning. Actively advocates for appropriate academic and leadership training and development within the team.
  • Mentor, develop, and guide team members in new processes
  • Manage team to efficiently process high volume and complex transactions for a global organization

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance

      Experience: 8+ Years related experience in accounting.  Prior experience in a supervisory/leadership role.

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven knowledge of accounting, audit, and financial principles, with strong understanding of US GAAP and proven ability to research global accounting standards and recommend course of action as required
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage in a global, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • High level of accountability
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

               Experience:  Prior experience in Public Accounting

               Licenses/Certifications:  CPA or CMA designation

               Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  IFS, SharePoint, WebFocus, Dayforce, Cornerstone, OnBase, Concur, and Adaptive

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTs:

This position requires successful completion of the following:

Loram determines compensation based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. Certain positions may be eligible for an annual bonus and paid time off in addition to base compensation.
