Job Description
General Responsibilities:
This Funding Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of duties to ensure loans are funded and purchased in a timely manner. Funding Specialists are also tasked with ensuring a loan is fully compliant and all necessary conditions and/or corrections are received. The Funding Specialist is also responsible for data integrity in the systems and ensuring all wires going out are reviewed properly per SOX guidelines.
Primary Job Duties:
- Review Closing document packages to ensure they are all returned properly signed and dated by all applicable parties
- Communicate with internal and external customers to coordinate the funding or purchase of a loan in a timely manner
- Review and clear prior to Funding or prior to purchase conditions
- Review and verify wire details on each loan in accordance with SOX
- Prepare collateral documents for shipment to document custodian
- Deliver fully executed Closing packages to our Post Closing Department for loan boarding
- Maintain data integrity of system data fields
Qualifications
- Attention to detail, self-motivated, takes initiative
- Proficient in MS Office Excel and the ability to learn new softwares
- Detail-oriented individual with good organizational ability, with excellent communication skills
- Position is in office, reporting to our Paramus, NJ location
- Overtime may be required
- Hours are 8:30-5:00 PM EST
