Longbridge Financial is seeking a Reverse Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor for our Underwriting team. This exciting opportunity allows the right candidate the opportunity to help supervise a team of underwriters and build streamlined workflows.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

·         Supervise a team of underwriters and monitor team performance for the review and decisioning of Reverse Mortgage loans

·         Conduct second level reviews

·         Assist as needed to resolve escalation questions

·         Assist in hiring and training underwriters

·         Collaborate with underwriters, processors, sales, and external brokers to assist with structuring Reverse transactions 

·         Review underwriting decisions and conditions, and may underwrite loans as needed

·         Have a thorough knowledge of HECM / Reverse underwriting guidelines and constantly staying on top of any changes

·         Work closely with Underwriting Manager to implement plans, improve consistency, efficiency, and shorten turn times.

Qualifications:

·         5+ years of recent HECM mortgage underwriting experience

·         DE Certification required

·         Ability and desire to lead and mentor a team

·         Ability to prioritize and make quick decisions

·         Able to maintain positive attitude and be productive even when under pressure and under tight deadlines

·         Proven ability to interpret and communicate regulatory guidance

·         Strong attention to detail, superior analytical skills, data driven mentality

·         Excellent customer service skills including both verbal and written communication

·         Confident in decision making and comfortable in growth and transformation

This position will be remote, no travel will be required during COVID-19 Pandemic.
