Accounting Assistant - Co-Op

As an Accounting Assistant - Intern, you will report to the Assistant Controller while working closely with the accounting team. This position will primarily focus on accounts payable and external audit support and will have an opportunity to take on additional tasks and areas of responsibility, as needed. This is a great opportunity to begin your accounting/finance career and learn from an experienced and highly collaborative team! This position is a Spring Co-Op full time position, January - open to end dates. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Process Accounts Payable invoices in Tipalti and NetSuite.
  • Process employee credit card transactions in Airbase.
  • Process expense reports in Certify and ensure compliance with company’s T&E policy.
  • Work with the Assistant Controller and Accounting Manager in preparing / gathering supporting documentation for the external audit.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable tasks, as needed.
  • Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP, including accruals, credit card transactions, recurring and non-recurring expenses, etc.
  • Assist in other ad hoc projects on an as needed basis, including but not limited to receipt audits, on-going vendor maintenance and clean-up, etc.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Studying for a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or Management.
  • Desire to gain experience in operational accounting and external audit management.
  • Interest in robotics / technology industry preferred.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple activities simultaneously and independently.
  • Must be proficient with various computer programs including MS Excel and Word.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be able to communicate well with others and work as a team.
