Job Description

The Business Development Representative is an exciting and dynamic lead generating role in our fast-growing world of robotics and warehouse automation.

This role is focused on pipeline lead generation and is responsible for responding to and qualifying marketing generated leads and outbound prospecting. In this role, you will uncover customer’s business needs, communicate our value proposition and drive interest in Locus Robotics warehouse automation solutions.

We have a strong collaboration between Marketing and Sales to engage and qualify leads and execute Account Based Marketing (ABM) programs to drive a growing pipeline of enterprise accounts.


  • Qualify marketing leads to drive a growing sales pipeline
  • Research companies and prospects, imagine WHY they’ll want to learn about Locus Robotics
  • Develop relationships with prospects early in their process to educate and inform
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing on lead qualification & ABM account strategies
  • Master the prospecting tools available (including SFDC) and multiple outreach channels
  • Execute early discovery calls and warm introductions
  • Listen actively and direct conversations to learn about prospect environment
  • Develop concise summary of the prospect’s goals
  • Collaborate with Sales to ensure ongoing prospect communications
  • Tell customer stories to deepen prospect conversations & understanding
  • Execute prospecting activities with energy and conviction


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business or related field
  • 2+ years experience in lead qualification and development building sales pipelines
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in B2B sales or marketing environments
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing personality.
  • Intelligent - fast learner and very capable of articulating value
  • Collaborative nature - desire to help others’ succeed
  • Potential travel for trade shows and events
