Job Description

As a Help Desk Specialist with Locus Robotics, you will work with all company groups to maintain systems, install upgrades and manage hardware requirements, network performance and general IT administration duties. This is a great opportunity for someone that wants to apply their help desk experience in the fast-growing field of robotics.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Configuring New Hire equipment, accounts, deploying images to devices etc.
  • Help On-Site and Remote Users with general day to day IT tasks (phone, printer, laptop, accounts).
  • Establish, maintain and manage end-user accounts. Install, modify and maintain systems and utility software on server computer systems. Provide server support related to other software.
  • Monitoring Updates and Backups.
  • Wireless Site Surveys, Analyzing and Reporting.
  • Ensure that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained and respond to all internal help desk tickets in a timely manner.
  •  Perform troubleshooting as required. Lead problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.
  • Mounting server racks.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience in Help Desk or Systems Support role.
  • Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange server and/or Office 365.
  • Strong basic networking knowledge and experience (VLAN, DNS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools.
  • Ability to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing.
  • Perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively.
  • Knowledgeable with multiple operating systems such as Windows, Mac OSX and Linux.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Network Support, CIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Able to lift over 50lbs and good with hand tools.
