Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Materials Specialist with Locus Robotics will be responsible for all shipping and receiving activities to support our Nashua/Wilmington based manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently with direction as well as a flexible attitude to contribute to a team environment.  They will have at least three years of Logistics, Shipping & Receiving, and/or general warehouse operational experience in a manufacturing environment and have a strong competency and understanding of ERP transactions as related to Shipping and Receiving. The right candidate will enjoy working in a fast-pasted startup environment, but bring enthusiasm to support implementing standard processes and best practices to help Locus scale for growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive daily shipments; unpack, transact in ERP, and putaway incoming materials
  • Crate robots for shipping and schedule pickup
  • Facilitate shipping to/from customer sites, events, and other locations
  • Coordinate with multi-location warehouse personnel, ensuring smooth delivery of goods between locations
  • Facilitate shipping of outgoing return to vendor (RTV) goods
  • Perform cadence cycle counts to ensure high degree of accuracy of inventory levels
  • Support implementation of strategic improvements to inventory management structure; actively participate in continuous improvement
  • Maintain organization of inventory material in proper bin locations – help drive strategy to improve warehouse utilization and safety
  • Support launch of Nashua weekly MRB meetings to support inventory control requirements
  • Assist in management of weekly scrap material collection and disposal

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing warehouse environment
  • Experience working within principles of Lean Manufacturing and understanding of concept Continuous Improvement
  • Experience supporting serialized inventory
  • Experience supporting Kanban system
  • Dangerous Goods certification preferred; training opportunities available
  • Experience utilizing ERP for Receiving, Cycle Counting, and other Inventory transactions
  • Experience with custom-product pack-out and/or packaging methods
  • Ability to interpret and utilize Excel for basic functions – advanced Excel skills a plus
  • Experience utilizing warehouse capital equipment including Fork Truck, Scissor Lift, Pallet Wrapper, etc.
  • Experience driving Box Truck (non-CDL) preferred
