Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician with Locus Robotics will be responsible for assembly of autonomous mobile robots and accessories. The successful candidate will be detail oriented and process driven. They will have at least six years of electro-mechanical assembly or related experience in a manufacturing environment, have proficiency in sub-assembly and final assembly and demonstrate experience ERP work orders. The right candidate will enjoy working in a fast-pasted startup environment, while bringing enthusiasm to support implementing standard processes and best practices to help Locus scale for growth.
Job Description
- Build sub-assemblies and final assemblies for Vector and EnZone products, support MAV3K product rollout
- Build and install standard and custom accessories for Vector
- Transact Work Orders in ERP to provide data accuracy and process visibility
- Assemble industrial machines by following schematics, assembly drawings, written instructions, CAD files, etc.
- Perform intermediate and final testing of AMR
- Maintains work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
- Coordinate with Quality Control Associate and Engineering departments to troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Support technical onboarding of additional assembly technicians in follow 3 to 6 months
- Ensure production deadlines are met with clear communication and issue escalation as needed
Qualifications
- 6+ years relevant manufacturing experience
- Working knowledge of handheld tools including hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment
- Familiarity with motion systems, robotics, and electronics
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and time management skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively, as required
- Experience assembling or knowledge of key electro-mechanical components such PCBAs, motors, sheet metal, plastics, castings, and extrusions
- ERP Experience, NetSuite preferred
- Experience working in both a start-up environment and with an established, mature organization is preferred
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ANSI, CE, NASA, and ISO-9000
- Certified fork truck driver preferred
