Job Description

As a Deployment Engineer with Locus Robotics, you will collaborate with a talented team to do on-site deployments of our LocusEmpower robotics solutions at customer sites. This job requires a unique combination of warehouse and logistics experience, well-developed project management skills, training ability, leadership, relationship management and effective communication. You will travel extensively (>75%), with all expenses paid, in North America and also international locations as we grow. Due to nature of this role, working remotely is an option for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed technical project plans for the deployment of complex robotic order fulfillment solution, including robotic hardware, software and servers at customer locations.
  • Manage onsite customer relationships with multiple internal and external
    teams during the on-site implementation of LocusEmpower.
  • Assist with on-site infrastructure, robot and software set-up and support during initial system deployment of LocusEmpower, our proprietary e-commerce fulfillment solution.
  • Ensure the smooth operations of the robots on-site by working hand-in-hand with customers after deployment.

Qualifications

  • Warehouse software or logistics systems deployment experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience in a technical context, such as IT or complex professional systems deployment.
  • Demonstrated success working both as team member and leader.
  • Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in customer settings
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
  • Knowledge of and interest in diverse technical topics, including software, hardware and robotics.
  • >85% travel is required with this role.
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, CIS or a related technical field.
