Ready to become a Builder of Better and join our growth story as our new Hardware Engineer?

Job Description

At Locinox, we develop innovative hardware that shapes the future of access control. Think of electric locks, smart keypads, gate operators and lighting systems that communicate seamlessly with one another through our own communication protocol.

As a Hardware Engineer, you will join a close-knit R&D team where hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineering work closely together to bring new products from concept to market launch. Innovation is deeply embedded in our culture. We don't follow technology, we develop it ourselves.

You will have the freedom and responsibility to independently lead projects within a dynamic environment where multiple developments run in parallel. In doing so, you can rely on modern laboratory infrastructure, professional measurement equipment, and colleagues who are just as passionate about technology as you are.

What will you do?

  • You develop new hardware solutions from concept phase through to production. This includes designing schematics and PCB layouts in Altium, performing simulations, and ensuring reliable, durable electronics that can perform outdoors for years.
  • You build prototypes, test and validate them thoroughly with a strong focus on EMC compliance, reliability, and product quality. Thanks to our fully equipped electronics laboratory, you can measure, test, and iterate quickly.
  • You contribute to the integration of our products within the Locinox ecosystem and our proprietary communication protocol. To achieve this, you work closely with firmware engineers, mechanical engineers, and international partners.
  • You safeguard the technical feasibility and future-proof nature of designs by critically evaluating component selections, identifying second-sourcing opportunities, and considering standards and regulations such as EMC, CE, and RED.
  • You closely follow developments in electronics and wireless communication and translate new technologies into innovative applications for our smart access solutions.

Qualifications

What do you bring?

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in hardware development.
  • Strong knowledge of digital electronics and experience with EMC testing and certification.
  • Experience with Altium Designer or similar PCB design tools.
  • An analytical and critical mindset, combined with a natural curiosity for new technologies.
  • Affinity with innovation and product development in an R&D environment.
  • The maturity to independently manage projects and priorities within a fast-evolving environment.

Additional Information

What do you get as a Hardware Engineer at Locinox?

  • A competitive salary package complemented by attractive fringe benefits (meal vouchers worth €8, hospitalization and group insurance, CLA90 bonus, eco vouchers, and more), tailored to your experience and expertise.
  • You will join an international B2B environment that is part of an impressive growth story. A team of true Builders of Better!
  • You won't be working on small optimizations of existing technology. Instead, you'll develop products that are used worldwide and must continue to perform reliably for years in challenging weather conditions.
  • The opportunity to work closely with experts in hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineering.
