Job Description
Position Summary
The System Administration is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related IT infrastructure. You will assist with managing, supporting, trouble shooting, configuring and implementing all the IT infrastructure.
Job responsibilities
· Assist in implementation and maintenance of on premises based servers, network, hardware and storage.
· Maintain and configure VMWare environments
· Perform scheduled maintenance, patching, and monitoring of network environment including on premise and remote based infrastructure.
· Work with the development team to facilitate their needs related to infrastructure.
· Perform security monitoring, reporting, and enforcement of company security policy.
· Assists with performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
· Supports end users for all hardware including workstations, Printer laptops, and cellular devices.
· Support a VMWare and Windows Environment as well as Active Directory, including Group policy and on-prem Exchange.2016
· Maintain and administer the local area network, wide area network, telephone and related connections
· Provide support for corporate employees.
· Take a lead role in workstation administration. Provide support for endpoints as needed
· Daily system monitoring of resources, storage, hardware, logs, key processes and scheduled jobs.
Required Skills/Knowledge
· Microsoft Office
· VMWare vSphere
· Microsoft, Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, File Sharing
· Solid understanding of TCP/IP, Subnetting, DHCP, DNS, and Wi-Fi Connectivity
· Microsoft Operating Systems (Server 2008-2019, Windows 7, and 10)
· Microsoft Windows and Server Patches/updates
· Printer configuration, print server, faxing, scanning
· SSL and other Certificates
· eFax services, PRI, Fax server
Experience:
· Windows Systems, and Desktop Administration Experience including active directory, Windows Server, Networking, Windows 7 &10, Office 2016
- At least 3 years’ experience with VMWare
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft technologies
- MCSE, MCSA, MCDST, MCP, CCNA (Not Required but would be a plus)
