Job Description

The role of Director for People and Culture holds immense importance in our organization as it plays a pivotal role in advancing our high-performance culture, fostering employee engagement, and enhancing our talent acquisition and development framework. The Director for P+C will serve as a crucial strategic and operational ally to every member of our executive team, ensuring the creation of an environment that sustains top-tier engagement and development within the industry. Moreover, this role will also facilitate the effective execution of our company's goals and objectives.

While the tactical aspects of people operations are undoubtedly essential, the real value of this leader lies in their capacity to cultivate robust collaborations across the organization. This collaborative approach will continuously enhance the frameworks that yield concrete results in terms of culture, employee engagement, performance, development, retention, and strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Key areas include; Partnering closely with senior leadership team to enhance and evolve company’s high-performing culture, talent acquisition, development and retention, benefits & compensation strategies, performance management, employee relations.

  • Actively collaborate with senior leadership to craft both short- and long-term P+C and organizational strategies essential for enabling the realization of our business goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance key programs and practices by benchmarking against industry peers and market trends.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to leaders, managers, employees, and direct reports in crucial areas including culture, engagement, performance, leadership, teamwork, strategy, talent management, and performance excellence.
  • Lead, coach, and nurture members of the Human Resources team.
  • Establish a robust employee relations team that caters to the needs of business partners and employees across multiple physical and virtual office locations.
  • Create staffing strategies, implementation plans, and programs aimed at identifying talent both within and outside the organization for key roles.
  • Deliver services with unwavering commitment and integrity, serving as a catalyst for positive change.
  • Play a pivotal role in supporting mergers and acquisitions by conducting cultural and people assessments and overseeing due diligence in the realm of people operations.
  • Identify potential liabilities and risks, offering proactive strategic guidance for mitigation.
  • Fulfill any other responsibilities related to people, culture, development, and strategy as necessary.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience including prior leadership/management roles
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of planning, designing, and implementing a comprehensive set of people initiatives that is tied to the business objectives of the company, and serve the needs of the employees
  • Strong business acumen, experience in the professional services industry preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change
  • Ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external customers
  • Knowledgeable of employment laws and regulations
  • Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources or Business Administration preferred; SPHR or PHR certification also preferred

  • Long-distance or air travel as needed periodically
