livingHR is searching for a mission-driven Director of People to join our client, a top non-profit in the Tampa Bay area.

As a Director of People & Culture, you will report to the Chief Communications + Culture Officer. This is an instrumental role in the execution of the people and culture strategy in support of the overall organization’s strategy and goals.  

The ideal candidate is an accomplished, high energy, collaborative HR leader who has deep experience across the talent spectrum in fast-paced, high-growth, and progressive organizations. The Director will lead, grow, and develop a small team and inspire an environment of trust and respect.  

Job Description

  • Demonstrate expertise in partnering with stakeholders of all levels, understanding business needs and providing progressive solutions across People + Culture focus areas.
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of the People + Culture function, strategy, processes and programs in areas including performance, succession, people services, people analytics, talent acquisition, learning and development, total rewards, and employee experience.
  • Enhance and enable the organization's culture with the aim of creating a thriving workplace.
  • Design and deliver meaningful candidate and employee experiences and efficient workflows leveraging technology to enable strong organizational performance and employee engagement.
  • Build a talent development strategy that creates a culture of learning with training and  resources for team members at every level and across departments. 
  • Help lead organization Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategies through partnership with leadership and employee resource groups.
  • Guide and coach team members with a variety of backgrounds and experiences with an emphasis on enhancing team member and manager relationships, analyze and interpret talent data (e.g. turnover, promotions, performance, diversity) to understand the impact of talent processes.
  • Recommend new policies, procedures, and approaches, as well as assess existing policies and processes, with a focus on improving the employee experience.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in degree in management, human resources, or similar, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification highly preferred.
  • 7+ years progressive HR leadership experience in all areas (including talent management, learning & development, and HR operations) in high growth and progressive organizations.
  • Exceptional leadership and team building/collaboration skills.
  • Experience working with human capital management systems and generating reports.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and evaluation skills with ability to analyze information to creatively solve problems, lead change, and drive execution and results.
  • Excellent project management skills with the proven ability to work through process, identify and implement process improvements, and drive ideas into action.
  • Requires a resourceful individual with strong business acumen, adept at creating innovative solutions in an unstructured environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in line with ethical practices.
  • Ability to coach and mentor and work within a small team environment.

Additional Information

Annual Salary: $75,000-$95,000
