At Livescale, we build our own technology, our way.
Within the engineering team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work on complex, cutting-edge infrastructures (multicloud, kubernetes, microservices) and write elegant, simple code (aka aesthetic, fast and scalable).

In this exciting, fast-paced environment, you’ll be responsible for:

• Developing new features, as well as integrations with e-Commerce platforms, and automate business flows,
• Working with teammates through code reviews, peer programming, and establishing good practices,
• Being a self-starter who is looking to learn and develop new skills to deploy the best tools for the job,
• Participate in product evolution and roadmap design.

Beyond excellent and relevant competencies, we’re looking for a team player with an entrepreneurial mindset, and a background that ensures the following:

• A minimum 7 years of work experience
• Fluent in either in Typescript or Javascript (ES10+)  
• Strong experience with MongoDb 
• 2 years of experience with GraphQL  
• Experience with cloud environments like GCP, AWS, as well as Docker and its environment 
• Experience with real time messaging systems (Redis Pub/Sub, Google Pub/Sub, etc.) 
• Experience writing automated unit and functional tests 
• Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum, Git, Jira, CI/CD)

 It’s also a plus if you have:

• Knowledge or professional experience with eCommerce platforms
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks (React, Vue)
• Creative approach and an eye for usability and accessibility.

Due to covid-19, we’re looking for people already based in Canada, regardless of your nationality or immigration status (ie. Closed work permit, open work permit, permanent residency), interested in relocating to the Montreal region in the short/mid-term (pending developments regarding COVID-19).
