Job Description

For one of our e-commerce clients, that rethinks fashion and lifestyle from a sustainable perspective, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated  Senior People Operations Manager(W/M/D) in Berlin to keep track of and manage all People Operations. 

As part of your role, you will be the first point of contact for our team members and manage all requests independently. You will be able to structure and implement new processes and further optimize already existing ones. 

Your tasks:

  • You will be responsible for driving the implementation, communication, and optimisation of all people operations processes from employee entry to exit.

  • Be a sparring partner for the HR leader to design the right processes, at the right time.

  • Process all operational personnel administration, including absence management, preparation of contract documents, job references, personnel master data maintenance, etc.

  • Pro-actively drive and manage people operations documentation, ensuring it is always up to date, understandable, and easily accessible.

  • Continually seek out opportunities to automate and standardise processes and repetitive tasks, with scalability and efficiency in mind at all times.

  • Act as point of contact for our international employees, including visa and relocation support, German language and bureaucracy.

  • Counseling of related HR functions, especially but not only, with regards to labour law and KPIs and liaise with the accounting department.

  • Manage People team projects that drive positive impact across the organization, reducing friction, making the employee experience feel seamless.

Qualifications

  • You have a great passion for administrative processes and people-centric work cultures. 

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Psychology  or comparable.

  • You have at least 8 years of practical experience in the field of People Operations and are eager to take on responsibility and work independently. 

  • This is not your first rodeo. Thanks to your solid HR experience you know what needs to be done and in what order.

  • Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax, health & safety, employment law, immigration law & visa processes.

  • You feel comfortable working with digital tools and are not afraid to discover new software and learn how to use it.

  • You have a modern mind, think in solutions and a high work pace doesn’t turn you off.

  • You value feedback and believe in cross functional work to deliver relevant people experiences.

  • You have excellent written and spoken English skills. German is a bonus. 

  • You live in Berlin and wouldn’t want it any other way .
