Job Description
The Linux Foundation is looking for a Strategic Partner Manager to build a partnership program and manage key strategic alliances for the Linux Foundation. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of technology, devops, security, and cloud marketplaces and is responsible for setting the strategy and execution of the partner program. They will work closely with open source projects and maintainers to solicit needs to improve developer efficiency and security practices.
Responsibilities
- Build a partner and alliances program for LF’s suite of open source foundations
- Responsible for the day-to-day relationship management of alliance partners
- Execute annual partner plans with companies and organizations
- Evaluate effectivity of partner relationships in delivering positive ROI
- Be the central point of contact and advocacy at LF for partner engagement
- Facilitate meaningful relationships between LF and our technology partners' teams. This includes partners, executive leaders, product managers, engineering, sales and marketing.
- Identify new opportunities for quality, high ROI engagements with partners.
- Manage controversial alliance engagement escalations and conflicts
- Work with project teams across the LF to facilitate technology needs, skills, and resolve adoption issues.
Qualifications
- 5 years of partner relationship management. This includes both sales and technical.
- Business or technical development experience in the technology industry, preferably in the DevOps and security spaces is preferred.
- Demonstrated repeated success leading partner/client engagement plans to fruitful executions, consistently exceeding key performance metrics
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives and technical audiences
- Excellent time management, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and explain them to audiences of varying technical expertise
- Ability to travel to Linux Foundation and partner events
Strong cooperative leadership skills: you understand the nuances required when working with volunteers, and that our mandate is to serve.
