Job Description

The Marketing Manager, Training & Certification has an overall responsibility for supporting the larger marketing goals of the team. This includes driving B2C revenue, generating B2B leads, expanding our reach and growing our brand awareness. This role will primarily execute B2C marketing, drive internal and external product launches; develop and manage organic social media; lead our event participation; and support other marketing efforts. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the marketing director to develop an annual marketing plan based on personas and the buyer journey. The marketing manager will also work with the director  to develop multi-channel, quarterly execution plans based on our content strategy and overall goals.

  • Lead, implement and track monthly B2C promotions including creative direction, messaging, email/landing page creation and testing.

  • Leverage existing scholarship and mentorship programs and identify new opportunities across projects and regions

  • Draft and post blogs announcing new content, partnerships or offerings

  • Lead internal and external launch of new or updated product offerings

  • Conduct competitive audits of content, modalities and pricing

  • Develop and execute organic social media strategy and messaging based on overall marketing strategy, collaboration with centralized and project marketing and our demand gen team

  • Engage with our LF social audience as appropriate to answer questions, provide resources, leverage opportunities or address concerns 

  • Manage our media relationships including press releases, identifying topics for interviews or articles and developing working relationships with top media/analysts in our industry

  • Strive to humanize our social media messaging to extend our reach, build our community and increase brand awareness

  • Develop event participation plan and document execution plans including goals, checklists, follow ups and reporting - domestic and international travel required

  • Support additional marketing efforts as needed including B2C revenue growth (i.e. creative brainstorming, proofing assets, etc.); B2B sales enablement (i.e. updating existing tools); and increasing growth and engagement of our community base

The ideal candidate will have:

  • B2C and B2B marketing experience, preferably in a non-profit, tech or learning environment

  • Strong writing experience

  • Significant knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and other social media best practices

  • Excellent skills in multitasking, problem-solving and thinking critically

  • Very strong attention to detail

  • Ability to balance both planning and execution, manage priorities and be flexible and agile as required

  • Proven team player experience

  • Good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
