Overview

The BI Analyst is an entry to a mid-level position responsible for collaborating with team members to collect and analyze data. This role will be joining the operations team, and reporting to the Finance Manager.

Position Details

The BI Analyst’s primary responsibilities are as follows:

  • Structure and manipulate large data sets to find usable information

  • Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to creatively visualize data

  • Create and support board presentations for the Linux Foundation and its projects

  • Deliver (and improve upon) existing and requested reports to team members

  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions

  • Create presentations, dashboards, and reports based on recommendations and findings

  • Monitor data from multiple sources and notify stakeholders of anomalies or trends

Qualifications

Technical Competencies

  • Experience working with BI tools such as Tableau, Entrinsik Informer, Crystal Reports, Jasper Reports, SQL Server, MySQL Workbench, or other ETL tools 

  • Knowledge of Javascript or Node.js 

  • Basic understanding of terragrunt, ansible, and/or Kubernetes 

  • Python skills are a plus

  • Experience or in-depth understanding of working in an agile environment with project tracking tools such as Jira

  • Excellent collaboration and time management skills

  • Proven written communication and documentation skills

  • Desire to learn new technologies

Additional Information

This position is remote and is open to applicants who can work North America time-zone standard business hours. In order to be qualified for employment in this role.
