Job Description
We’re looking for a highly-organized and results-driven Meeting & Event Coordinator, Sponsorship Management to join our team to support all activities related to the fulfillment of sponsor benefits and exhibit hall management at Linux Foundation & LF Project events. This position provides valuable operational coordination within the Event Team and works closely with internal and external stakeholders, sponsors, and third-party vendors to coordinate the flow of information and delivery of sponsorship benefits.
What You Will Work On
Support the Sponsorship & Exhibit Hall Management team in implementing all aspects of the sponsorship fulfillment process, including, but not limited to: exhibits, lead retrieval, marketing & promotional benefits, and sponsor registration;
Serve as a key day-to-day contact for sponsors and provide excellent customer service;
Coordinate sponsorship fulfillment logistics with event venues, suppliers, and other third-party vendors;
Write, proofread, and edit copy for emails, websites, signage, and other event materials;
Create and deploy sponsor email communications;
Maintain fulfillment tracking tools and sponsor portals;
Help the team with the build-out and QA process for virtual event platforms and apps;
Assist in creating new sponsorship packages and promotional opportunities;
Support the Event Manager in monitoring sponsorship fulfillment-related expenses;
Travel to conferences, meetings, and events;
Provide onsite event support for all aspects of sponsorship fulfillment;
Handle additional duties assigned by the Event Manager.

Previous experience and/or desire to work remotely and self-directed with limited supervision
Skills That Are A Plus
Previous virtual event planning experience is a strong plus
Experience with Open Source communities
Previous experience working remotely
Proficiency in a second language
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree;
2+ years of recent work experience, preferably in a sponsorship fulfillment role, B2B conference or tradeshow planning, or open source community management;
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%;
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time;
Ability to lift and move up to (40) lbs.
Additional Information
This position requires overnight and weekend travel to events both domestically and internationally (~30%). As our in-person events require COVID-19 vaccinations for participation, the position requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination. This position is remote, and is open to applicants who can work North America time zone standard business hours. In order to be qualified for employment in this role, final candidates must comply with the vaccination requirement or receive an approved accommodation.
