The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
We are looking for a Sales Development (SD) Manager who will be responsible for leading a team of Sales Development Specialists focused on the India market. The Sales Development team is responsible for generating new business for LinkedIn by developing and qualifying revenue opportunities. You will be focused on building high-quality sales pipeline and achieving individual, team and regional quotas.
This role will manage Outbound SDRs for LinkedIn Sales Solutions, executing the SD strategy and driving new business growth in India. You will partner closely with India Sales leaders to deliver strong SD impact for the Acquisition business. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners across Acquisition Operations, SD Enablement, Marketing and Talent Acquisition to strengthen our sales development strategy and drive key initiatives to achieve sales objectives.
The SD Manager will inspire, mentor and coach their team to excel in their core role, as a team and in the impact they create for the market. High operational excellence, strong Sales partnership and focus on talent development are essential. You will also look for opportunities to improve how we operate through data, experimentation, technology, AI and automation, while creating impact beyond your core function through strong cross-functional leadership.
Responsibilities
- Hire, lead and inspire a high-performing team of SDRs
- Invest in their career development, mentor and coach them to perform to high standards and empower them to create impact
- Anticipate team hiring needs and build a strong talent pipeline
- Provide data-driven, open, honest and constructive feedback and execute effective performance management
- Drive high operational excellence across forecasting, pipeline management, measurement and skills development
- Translate broader business priorities into a clear outbound strategy and execution plan for the team
- Inspire the team to drive new business, build high-quality pipeline and achieve revenue targets and KPIs
- Identify, implement and track KPIs to improve productivity, pipeline quality and funnel conversion
- Partner closely with Sales leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and improve acquisition outcomes
- Encourage experimentation and effective use of AI, automation and sales technology to improve SD productivity and impact
- Consistently lead by example through LinkedIn’s values and culture
- Build a culture of inclusion and belonging for your team and those around you
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of applicable sales experience
- 1+ years of people management experience or experience mentoring/indirectly leading individual contributors
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to manage senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional initiatives at scale
- Demonstrated success in overachieving pipeline, revenue or other sales targets
- Execution-oriented with a strong track record of building high-quality pipeline and driving new business growth
- Strong understanding of the India B2B market and its key economic and business drivers
- Strong people leadership skills with a proven track record of coaching and developing talent
- Strong analytical and operational mindset with the ability to use data to improve performance and funnel outcomes
- Experience leveraging AI, automation or sales technology to improve prospecting, productivity or sales effectiveness
- Ability to lead through change, test new approaches and scale successful practices
