Job Description

This role will be based in LinkedIn's Mountain View and Sunnyvale offices.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

We are seeking a Senior Associate, Corporate Strategic Finance to support company-wide financial planning, performance management, and decision support. This role will focus on headcount and people-related expenses while contributing to broader Corporate Strategic Finance priorities as business needs evolve. Successful candidates will be able to translate financial data into actionable insights, risks, opportunities, and recommendations. 

The Senior Associate will support annual planning, forecasting, monthly close, management reporting, and strategic analyses in partnership with Strategic Finance, Accounting, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and other cross-functional teams. This role offers broad exposure to LinkedIn’s financial model and enterprise planning processes, with flexibility to support evolving priorities across the Corporate Strategic Finance team.

Responsibilities

This role is expected to connect financial analysis to business implications, identify trade-offs, and help stakeholders make informed decisions. 

Strategic Thinking

  • Support company-wide financial planning and strategic analysis across key business and cost drivers.
  • Develop an understanding of business and financial drivers and translate data into insights, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.

Stakeholder Influence

  • Partner with Strategic Finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders to gather inputs, align assumptions, evaluate key drivers, and support consistent company-wide planning and reporting.
  • Translate financial data into clear narratives and concise recommendations that highlight key drivers, trade-offs, and decision points.

Execution & Organization

  • Support recurring Corporate Strategic Finance processes across annual planning, forecasting, monthly close, and management reporting, with responsibility for accuracy, timeliness, stakeholder readiness, and documentation.
  • Support headcount planning governance, including maintaining planning calendars, defining input requirements, tracking dependencies, and ensuring assumptions are documented consistently across teams.
  • Maintain and improve financial models, reporting tools, and operating processes; leverage automation and approved AI-enabled tools, where appropriate, to improve efficiency, accelerate analysis, strengthen controls, and enhance the quality and consistency of financial insights.

Performance Management

  • Access, transform, reconcile, and synthesize data from multiple systems to evaluate performance, trends, and forecast accuracy.
  • Partner with Finance systems and data owners to improve source-of-truth definitions, reporting logic, data quality, and reconciliation processes.
  • Develop scenario analyses and sensitivity assessments to evaluate financial risk, forecast uncertainty, and potential mitigation actions across headcount, people costs, and Corporate Strategic Finance priorities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or a related field, OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, or management reporting in a corporate or business finance environment.
  • Experience building financial models and conducting quantitative analysis to support planning, forecasting, and business decision-making.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and reconciling information across multiple sources.
  • Experience with financial systems, Excel, and data tools such as SQL.
  • Experience using AI tools or automation to improve work processes, operational efficiency, insight generation, or reporting quality.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining accuracy while working with complex financial data and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience communicating financial concepts and recommendations to a variety of stakeholders.

Compensation

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $107,000 to $172,000.

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
