    Job Description

    This role can be based in Mountain or San Francisco.

    We are looking for a proactive, sharp, and highly creative senior communications manager to join our consumer product communications team. In this role, you’ll take the reins on our flagship career and profile products, shaping how members showcase who they are and find their next big move. Your goal? To design and drive "always-on" communication strategies that show how people can get their next opportunity on LinkedIn.

    • A product enthusiast: You love getting your hands on tech, understanding how things work, and translating complex product features into creative, high-impact PR campaigns.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop the strategy: Lead the consumer-facing PR strategy for LinkedIn’s flagship career and profile products.
    • Drive proactive narratives: Oversee the development of strategic plans and creative PR programs that support and elevate broader narratives around how members build their profiles and manage their careers, especially in between news moments.
    • Partner with Product: Serve as the primary, day-to-day communications partner for career and profile product stakeholders to track product ramps and to guide, inform, and collaborate on plans.
    • Lead campaigns: Quarterback product announcements, feature launches, and broader cross-functional PR efforts for the product team.
    • Enable global teams: Support the development of global playbooks to equip international communications teams with product insights, key messaging, and creative story ideas.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner closely with product marketing, social marketing, and creator teams to ensure campaigns are tightly coordinated for maximum impact across emerging media channels.
    • Embrace a growth mindset & AI: Bring a continuous learning attitude to the role, proactively experimenting with and leveraging AI tools to optimize your workflow, scale your productivity, and sharpen your storytelling.
    • Pitch creatively: Proactively identify unique storytelling opportunities tied to product initiatives that reach job seekers, creators, and everyday professionals.
    • Measure success: Collaborate with our measurement team and maintain a strong investment in measuring, analyzing, and reporting on the true impact of your communication programs.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    • 7+ years of related PR or external communications experience

     Preferred Qualifications:

    • Skills in writing, problem solving, critical thinking, storytelling, media pitching, and collaboration.
    • Well-developed and well-maintained media relationships
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with lens for consumer/social media-friendly tone and style
    • Strong research and analytical skills; ability to monitor and analyze industry news and trends; must have a love of news and trends
    • Organizational skills and an innate ability to stay on top of multiple projects at once
    • Strong understanding of PR planning and implementation process
    • Must have very strong project management and decision-making skills
    • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and unstructured, deadline-oriented environment
    • A natural affinity for social media, AI, and fast-paced environments is desired.
    • Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships at all levels 
    • Possess a high degree of integrity and a sense of confidentiality, and demonstrates managerial maturity and good judgment at all times

    LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

    The pay range for this role is $126,000 to $198,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
